Standard business hours for the webmaster account coverage are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

UF holidays are not included in regular business hours. A UF holiday is not a business day for the purpose of this policy.

Response Time

  • Regular: 8 business hours for initial reply
  • Urgent: 2 business hours for initial reply
  • Crisis: Immediate. If a phone call is received regarding a crisis, and if the caller has not already entered a webmaster email, Web Services staff must enter the details of the call into an email and send it to webmaster@ufl.edu for tracking purposes

Crisis Communication

UFL.EDU has been declared to be an authoritative source of information regarding the University of Florida. This statement implies that UFL.EDU will be available to the University community and general public 365 days per year, 24 hours per day under all conditions. Similarly, a related expectation is that appropriate UF staff will have access to update the UFL.EDU web page at any time and under any circumstance without advanced notice.
