Content Types

There are many different content types that are used to create the various pages for the template. Check out the Page Layouts section to see which content types should be used with each page layout.

Below is a list of all the various content types that can be used with the template.

Alphabetical List Controls

This content type creates the controls for an Alphabetical List page. Add one of these content types to a section using the Inner – Alpha List page layout.

Alphabetical List Element

This content type creates a single letter list of link for an Alphabetical List page. Add one of these items PER LETTER to a section using the Inner – Alpha List page layout.

Article – Content

This content type is used for articles and news items that will be used in the Homepage Hero and will create fulltext versions for linking.

Auxiliary Navigation

This content type is used in the _site-config section to create the orange auxiliary navigation at the top of the header.

Bio Scroll Standalone

This content type creates a section with 3 profiles to be scrolled through.

Biography

This content type creates a single biography for use in the biographies JSON file to enable randomized bio scroll content.

Breaker

This content type creates a full width background image with a headline, text, and button to break the flow of a landing page.

Build JSON File

This content type creates a JSON file with the content in the current section. This is only used for biographies and stats currently.

Cards

This content type creates three small cards with images and text over a background image.

Content Page with Sidebar Navigation

This content type allows you to mimic the Inner – General page layout design on an Inner – Blank page layout section. This is useful for starting a page with the header and sidebar navigation but also adding full width content types below.

Content with Left Image

This content type creates a layout with an image on the left and a box with text on the right.

Content with List and Left Image with Caption

This content type creates a layout with an image on the left with a caption and content with a list of links on the right.

Content with Right Image

This content type creates a layout with an image on the right and a box with text on the left.

Content with Right Image and Twitter Callout

This content type creates a layout with an image on the right with a callout box for a tweet from Twitter and a box with text on the left.

Content with Wide Left Image

This content type creates a layout with a wide image on the left and a narrow box with text on the right.

Content with Wide Right Image

This content type creates a layout with a wide image on the right and a narrow box with text on the left.

Custom Site Code

This content type is used in the _site-config section to enable custom code to be included at the bottom of every page. This code is output exactly as entered.

Double Image with Content

This content type creates a layout with two images next to each other and a content box the floats over them.

Footer Column Links

This content type is used in the _site-config section to add links to the footer column sections.

Footer Top Links

This content type is used in the _site-config section to add four links directly above the footer.

General Configuration

This content type is used in the _site-config section to set up some basic options for the site including site title, Google Analytics, etc.

General Page Content

This content type is used on the Inner – General page layout to add generic text and body copy to a simple page.

Homepage Hero

This content type is used on the Homepage Layout page layout to create a set of primary featured slides, secondary news and stat items.

Homepage Hero - Slides Only

This content type is used on the Homepage Layout page layout to create only a set of primary featured slides without the secondary news or stat items.

htaccess

This content type creates an .htaccess file in the section where it is added. This content type should only be used by sites hosted on a Linux/Apache host and with caution as this content is output exactly as written and can cause a site to crash if improperly entered.
